The single dual-frequency diaphragm on both sides of the chest piece allows for highest precision during the auscultation of both children and adults. Compared with its predecessor models, the audibility of high-frequency sounds (adult side, strong pressure) has been improved even more. Furthermore the single diaphragm can easily be replaced by a non-chill rim and thus be converted into an open bell on the pediatric side.

The design of the precision-machined chest piece has been changed into a more rounded and less angular shape which is aesthetically more pleasing. The new tubing system is much more resistant against skin oils and alcohols than its predecessor models, prolonging its life cycle and ensuring a higher protection against staining and discolouration.

The Cardiology IV stethocope has, therefore, been improved in all essential areas – for highly professional auscultation results. Obviously, the sounds that are most difficult to hear are also the most important ones.
