Compared to the monopolar technology, 20 – 30 % less power is needed. The surrounding tissue, because to power is flowing, is not damaged, and measuring devices on the patient (i.e. ECG) are not disturbed. This method is well suited for critical and precise applications, such as for example micro-, neuro- and ENT-surgery.
